1. Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli is an Indian cricketer who is the current captain of the Indian national team in limited-overs formats. He is also the captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team in the Indian Premier League (IPL). A right-handed batsman, Kohli is regarded as one of the best batsmen in the world. He is the fastest batsman in the world to score 10,000 runs in ODI cricket. Kohli holds numerous batting records, including the fastest century in ODI cricket (51 deliveries), which he achieved during the 2018 IPL.
Kohli made his Test debut in 2011 and scored his first century in the same year. He made his ODI debut in 2008 and first Twenty20 International (T20I) appearance in 2009. Since then, Kohli has been a regular member of the Indian team in all three formats of the game. He is one of the most successful batsmen in world cricket across all formats, with innings such as a 154 not out against South Africa in Cape Town in January 2018 and a 103 not out against Pakistan in World Cup 2019.. In June 2019, he became the fastest batsman to score 11,000 runs in ODIs. As captain, Kohli led India to their first ever bilateral ODI series win in Australia during January 2019.
2. Steven Smith
Steven Smith is the top-ranked batsman in the world and one of the most exciting players in international cricket. He made his Test debut at the age of 20, and scored centuries in each of his first three Tests. He has since gone on to score centuries in 29 different Test matches, and is currently averaging over 60 in Test cricket.
Steven Smith was the man of the match in the final of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. He has scored more than 6000 runs in international cricket. He is also the captain of the Australian cricket team.
In One Day Internationals (ODIs), Smith has also been in superb form. He was the player of the tournament at the 2015 Cricket World Cup, and was also named player of the year by the International Cricket Council in 2016.

Joe Root, the captain of the English cricket team, is the top-ranked batsman in the world according to the latest "International Cricket Council" rankings. He achieved this ranking after scoring a century (100 or more runs in a single innings) against Sri Lanka in the second Test match of the series.
Root has been in excellent form recently. In the last 12 months, he has scored 5,594 runs in Tests, which is more than any other player. He has also scored 22 centuries in this period, which is more than any other player.

7. Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma is an Indian cricketer who is currently the top-ranked batsman in One Day International (ODI) cricket. He made his ODI debut in 2007 and played his first Test match in 2013. Sharma is the captain of the Mumbai Indians team in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He has also captained India in a few Twenty20 International (T20I) matches.
He is the joint-record holder for the fastest century in ODIs, scoring 100 runs from 50 balls. He achieved this feat along with South African batsman AB de Villiers. Sharmais also the first batsman to score 2,000 runs in a single calendar year for India.
Rohit Sharma was born on 6 April 1987 in Dharavi, Mumbai. His father, Mahendra Singh Sharma, was a truck driver. Rohit has two elder brothers, Vishal and Ajit, both of whom are cricket players.
Sharma started playing cricket at the age of 12 and represented Mumbai in the school circuit. He scored a century on his Ranji Trophy debut for Mumbai against Orissa in 2006.
In 2007, Sharma was signed by Deccan Chargers in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The same year, he made his ODI debut for India against Bangladesh. Sharma made his Test debut for India in November 2013 against West Indies.
Sharma is the captain of the Mumbai Indians team in the IPL and has also captained India in a few T20I matches. He is also the first batsman to score 2,000 runs in a single calendar year for India.

Quinton de Kock has been one of the standout performers in world cricket in the past couple of years. In the latest ICC rankings, he was placed at the top of the batting chart, displacing India’s Virat Kohli.
De Kock has had an amazing run in ODIs, with nine centuries and 24 fifties in just 96 innings. He has also been successful in T20Is, with six centuries and 16 fifties in 66 innings. His exploits have helped South Africa to become one of the top sides in limited-overs cricket.
The 25-year-old de Kock is a product of South Africa’s cricketing system and rose through the ranks rapidly. He made his first-class debut in 2012 and played for South Africa A the following year. He made his international debut in 2013 and has since become a permanent fixture in the South African team.
De Kock started his international career as a wicketkeeper-batsman, but he has also opened the batting for South Africa on occasions. His aggressive batting style has won him many admirers and he is one of the most popular players in world cricket.
9. Babar Azam
Babar Azam is a Pakistani cricketer who is the top-ranked batsman in the world as of 2019. He made his One Day International debut on 11 July 2016 against England. He was the leading run-scorer for Pakistan in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy.
Azam was born on 15 October 1996 in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. His father, Tauseef Azam, was a first-class cricker who played for Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) and Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA). Azam started playing cricket at the age of 10. He was educated at the Christ Church Grammar School in Lahore.
Azam made his first-class debut for Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) on 24 October 2013 against Khan Research Laboratories. In February 2017, he signed with English county side Somerset County Cricket Club to play in the 2017 English cricket season. He made his List A debut for Somerset on 8 May 2017 against Gloucestershire and scored 46 runs from 48 balls.
Azam was selected in Pakistan's squad for the 2016 ICC Champions Trophy. On 11 July 2016, he made his One Day International debut against England and scored an unbeaten 52. In September 2017, he was named as the captain of Pakistan's squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

Ben Stokes is an all-rounder who bats right-handed and bowls with a right-arm medium-fast pace. He is the son of former New Zealand cricketer Gavin Stokes. Ben Stokes was born in Christchurch, New Zealand, and moved to England as a child. He attended Cumnor House School and completed his education at Durham School.
